The Position
The Department of Land Use and Transportation is recruiting for a Senior Accounting Assistant within Capital Project Services. The position will perform accounting work of a complex nature while providing general accounting support to department and divisional needs. Duties will include, but not be limited to, general accounts payable and receivable functions, processing of expense and travel paperwork, maintaining project and fiscal records, as well as financial reporting.
This is a hybrid position eligible to work from home 2-3 days a week.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this Senior Accounting Assistant position will be able to work independently as well as within a small team environment. The successful candidate will have experience with general accounting principles including, but not limited to: reconciliation, journal entries, journal corrections, maintaining financial records and ledgers, and accounts payable and receivable. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong communication skills are strongly desired.

Regular and limited duration full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week and job share employees are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following employment.
