Purpose:
To maintain accurate database information for all employees; to assist in benefits administration and job posting; to coordinate communication and scheduling of storewide trainings; to provide backup to the HR team.

Responsibilities:
Benefits:
Maintain accurate insurance enrollment records for medical, dental, life and disability insurance using Maxwell Health
Audit invoices from insurance carriers as requested
Maintain and update electronic enrollment process.
Ensure completion of termination/change updates
Complete COBRA notifications for staff leaving employment
Assist with monthly and annual open enrollment for benefits
Assist with benefit communication for staff
Coordinate bike reimbursement program, as requested
Coordinate employee giving campaign
Report workers compensation claims
Hiring:
Promptly post open positions as requested by managers
Maintain accurate job descriptions for all co-op positions
Use appropriate recruitment tools to attract high quality applicants for open positions using ApplicantPro.
Work with community partners to ensure a diverse applicant pool
Check references for applicants as requested
Complete accurate data entry for new hires
Training:
Coordinate and schedule store wide trainings
Communicate with managers, supervisors and employees regarding training requirements and schedules
Maintain internal and external pool of trainers
Track employee participation in training and development programs
Personnel:
Maintain personnel files
Maintain interpreter program for non-English-speaking staff
Assist in maintaining an open, approachable and professional department that responds to employee questions and concerns.
Perform and report findings of staff exit interviews
Report Workers comp claims to the insurance carrier
Assist in data entry for benefits and open enrollment
Other duties:
Provide back up to the HR Assistant Manager with benefits administration in their absence.
Provide back up to the HR Payroll Specialist with payroll in their absence
Provide back up to the Internal Communications Coordinator with minute taking and communications in their absence
Perform other tasks assigned by the Human Resources Manager and Assistant Human Resources Manager
Assist in maintaining an open, approachable and professional department that responds to employee questions and concerns
Qualifications:

Regular, predictable attendance
Must have valid driver’s license on file if driving between locations for support
Functional
Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time per shift
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
Ability to do math computations including addition, subtraction, division, fractions, decimals and percentages.

Experience processing payroll
Multilingual a plus
