The Berkeley and Eleanor Mann Residential Treatment Center (RTC) of Sheppard Pratt is a program for adolescents with severe behavioral problems who require a self-contained therapeutic educational and recreational program in a residential setting. Mann Residential Treatment Program serves adolescents age 12-18. Our mission is to serve as a bridge for youth, families and guardians from the problems of the past to a successful self-determined future. The nurse is a part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team who help the youth address mental health issues, develop positive relationships, achieve educational goals, and enhance daily living skills to ensure success in the community. Typical length of stay is 8–18 months which affords the time to complete intensive therapy, develop therapeutic relationships, and practice learned skills.

- Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
- Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
- Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
- Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff.
- Document and report patient progress to treatment team.
Requirements:
- Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
- Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
- All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
- AHA CPR required before first day of employment
**Any RN with less than one year of experience will automatically be placed in Sheppard Pratt’s Nurse Residency Program**
