Job Summary:

The Director of Sales and Marketing will oversee Simply Solar’s sales and marketing programs, develop new strategies, and make data-driven decisions as we grow our organization’s sales and marketing efforts to scale.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Grows and develops our sales and marketing efforts to scale

• Develops hiring and org structure strategy

• Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.

• Establishes and oversees sales quotas, territories, and performance of sales consultants

• Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the sales and marketing budget.

• Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.

• Manages lead generation, using multi-channel lead sourcing and product marketing.

• Develops and implements a content marketing strategy that builds and maintains a positive brand.

• Collaborates with executive leadership and board of directors to develop the mission statement.

• Directs and implements the organization’s advertising and promotional activities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Data-driven with a thorough understanding of marketing analytics.

• Web development familiarity (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Jquery, Wordpress) preferred

• Thorough understanding of market developments.

• Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in marketing and long-range planning required.

• Experience with lead funnel management

• Experience with pay-per-click (PPC) strategies (required, Google and Facebook preferred)

• Experience with email marketing (required, Pardot preferred)

• Experience with B2B and B2C marketing required

• Past history generating new revenue and implementing business development strategies.

• Experience converting generated leads to qualified leads.

• Experience with marketing automation.

• Past experience building, growing, and developing a company to scale.

Compensation/Benefits

• $100,000 = $150,000 per year depending on experience
