Residents contribute to cooking, cleaning, and basic maintenance of the houses.

Position Summary

The Finance & HR Manager serves in a critical finance and administrative role, reporting to the Executive Director, and works closely with all departments within the organization. This full-time position provides accounting, HR, and office operations support. This position will be responsible to spearhead the development of scalable systems that will assist the organization in becoming future-ready.

Key Priorities

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with applicable generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Maintain internal control safeguards, along with all audit activities.
• Analyze financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all donor segments; and oversee all financial, project/program, and grants accounting.
• Prepare bank deposits, post cash receipts, process accounts payable, and reconcile credit card transactions.
• Perform basic troubleshooting to reconcile general ledger account balances with inquiries, as necessary, to obtain missing information or verify unusual data.
• Responsible for recruiting and managing the employee life cycle from on-boarding to off-boarding
• Process payroll transactions for new hires, leave of absence, terminations, employee changes, timesheets, and other payroll activities.
• Administer Benefits Management including insurance and 403(b) and provide guidance to employees regarding benefits-related matters.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and tracking.
• Assist with schedules and support documentation for the annual audit cycle in coordination with the Executive Director.
• Serve as liaison between staff and outside tech management, manage office equipment, and related contracts.
• Perform other related administrative duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Abilities/Requirements

• General understanding of accounting principles in a nonprofit setting
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently

• Ability to work well with deadlines

Candidate Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or commensurate experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
