The HR Business Partner will partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement. In addition, they will own programs that run across the broader HR team. They will help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.
They need the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading, developing, and inspiring their assigned team members in a high growth, rapidly changing environment.
Understanding business goals as well as designing and implementing new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR.
Works closely with the Leadership Team to improve work relationships, improve employee morale and increase productivity and retention.
Aligning business objectives between HR and their departments.
Actively identifies gaps, proposes, and implements process improvements.
Being an influential and credible HR leader within the team, including setting the tone, agenda, and direction of the Leadership Team and providing the necessary support, follow up, and leadership to ensure the team achieves desired results.
Works to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
Serves as a consultant to the Leadership Team on HR policy guidance and employee relations related issues.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
Mitigate legal risk to the organization by partnering with the HR team and the Leadership Team to provide proactive training and education, clear systems and processes for managing conflicts with and between employees, handling and investigating complaints of harassment/discrimination and other unjust practice allegations. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
Provides performance management (as needed and annually) with the Leadership Team (coaching, counselling, career development, progressive discipline).
Provides support to the Leadership Team with Talent Acquisition, recruiting and onboarding.
Operates with autonomy and discretion using a true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the “pulse” of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
Accountable for partnering with leadership to teach, coach, and cultivate the Skymint culture by ensuring the company values are taught, lived, and integrated in each component of the talent system.
Ability to use and implement Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, and ATS systems.
Familiarity with FLMA and Leave of Absence requirements and laws.
