Skywriter MD Hiring for Remote Medical Transcriptionist Job at Remote Full Time

Description of Job

Medical transcriptionists are responsible for accurately typing physician dictations into specific, organized reports. As a medical transcriptionist, you will need to possess a firm understanding of medical terminology.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create Word documents formatted to provider and Skywriter MD transcription preferences utilizing provider workflows and the Skywriter MD Style Guide
• Review transcription documents to create a polished product
• Upload reviewed transcription documents to appropriate, centralized online location for data entry into EHR
• Ability to utilize multiple software platforms simultaneously including Office 365 and the Skywriter MD application
• Minimum standards of 98.7% accuracy must be met on all reports
• Will be responsible for acute care, clinical, radiology and pathology reports
• Strict adherence to all confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA
• Must provide own secure workstation, including a USB foot peddle

Qualifications

• Understanding of clinical documentation; ability to document clinical assessment and plan in an EHR
• Medical terminology, basic anatomy, medical tests, systems review and common medications knowledge is helpful.
• Proficient in English; fluency in secondary languages are valued as well
• Ability to actively listen.
• Typing proficiency (approximately 75 words/minute).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an environment that routinely involves exposure to highly-sensitive personal medical issues
• Ability to problem solve under pressure.
• Commitment to high professional ethical standards.
