About the Job:

Responsible for the overall operational management for all SolutionHealth entity retirement plans, including 403(b), 401(k), 401(a), 457(b), 457(f) and pension; provides consultation and technical support both internal and external to SolutionHealth entities. 

Responsibilities include day-to-day plan administration; managing relationships with third-party vendors; performing plan reviews; reviewing, evaluating, and recommending improvements for plan administration and communication; tracking ongoing projects and providing weekly updates; engaging with internal/external business partners to resolve administrative issues; keeping up-to-date with plan compliance changes and fiduciary responsibilities. 

What You’ll Do:

• Ensure SolutionHealth’s qualified retirement plans and non-qualified retirement plans are administered according to plan provisions and are compliant with statutory requirements

• Work closely with Plan actuaries and record keepers to validate and ensure demographic and compensation data provided to vendors is accurately maintained on these outsourced systems. Troubleshoots problems and issues concerning data management or plan participant concerns.

• Participate in scheduled meetings with appropriate plan vendors and providers to ensure adherence to plan provisions, provide feedback on services, initiate and follow up on necessary administrative or procedural changes, employee communications, etc.

• Attend formal Retirement Committee meetings to review plan performance, prepare for legislation that may impact plan provisions, discuss and provide input for plan changes/enhancements.

• Act as primary resource to diverse employee population for information/education about SolutionHealth retirement plans, fostering a positive customer service environment. Meet with incoming and outgoing physicians and executive management members as needed to facilitate a smooth onboarding/offboarding process with respect to both qualified and non-qualified plans. 

• Work closely with internal IT department to ensure critical data is provided to vendors, ensure existing retirement system functions operate as designed, and help to develop improved processes for ongoing plan updates/changes

• Provide actuaries and auditors with information and reports to complete annual plan valuations and audits. Perform or audit calculations associated with entity-specific annual employer contributions at the conclusion of each plan year; provide estimated cost projections for subsequent plan year to finance department. 

• Gather and produce information for plan discrimination testing, review annual valuation data, and develop/maintain range of retirement plan reports and ad hoc reports to management.

• In conjunction with vendors, gather information and file required reports with the IRS, DOL, PBGC and other regulatory agencies.

• Implement ongoing retirement plan sessions that for the purpose of educating employees about SolutionHealth retirement plans, individually and in group sessions

• Within HRIS, ensure proper deductions, loan payments, etc. are established and coordinate changes as needed. Ensure employee eligibility for the various SolutionHealth retirement plans is accurate and up to date and ensure proper enrollment within plans. Communicate enrollment eligibility to plan participants.

• Partner with System Director of Total Rewards to develop and maintain employee benefit communication materials, including input to HR/Benefits web site. Recommend and implement policy/procedure improvements to streamline plan administration where appropriate across SolutionHealth entities. 

Who You Are:

• Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

• Experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years of retirement and/or benefits experience required.

• Knowledge

  • Knowledge of federal, state and other regulatory requirements impacting retirement plans.
