Job Summary
Responsible for assisting with investigations of allegations of discrimination and harassment lodged internally by Employees; and developing, coordinating, overseeing, and assisting with the training of Leaders and Employees in the area of sexual harassment prevention, EEOC compliance, diversity/inclusiveness/sensitivity, etc. Leads the Team of Investigators. Provides Employee Relations support and guidance to Company Leaders and Employees. Maintains a thorough understanding of Employee and Labor Relations issues as well as various Federal, State, and Local labor and employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
Under the direction of Director of Employee Relations, provide expertise, direction, and guidance to Leaders and Employees with regard to issues that affect the Employer-Employee relationship within the context of various Federal, State, and Municipal laws/ordinances/regulations and Southwest’s Policy concerning Harassment, Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, and Retaliation
Select, train, develop, motivate and supervise Employee Relations Investigators and support Employee Relations initiatives
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Union Representatives, Company Leaders, Labor Relations, HRBPs, and all other Departments
Provide additional and continuing support as needed to resolve Employee issues
Possess and share expertise on Employee Relations issues and train Leadership on Company guidelines to maintain a positive work environment
Develop and conduct training in the areas related to Southwest’s Policy Concerning Harassment, Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, and Retaliation
Oversee and conduct investigations of, and respond to, internal allegations of discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation
Provide direct support to General Counsel and assist with special projects, internal matters, and matters before Federal, State, Municipalities, and/or other government agencies
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Skilled in written and verbal communication
Skilled in handling and resolving complex Employee Relations and Human Resource issues and interface well with people
Skilled in understanding changing employment laws, EEOC guidelines, and applicable case law
Ability to make presentations, and teach and train in front of large or small groups
Ability to work under tight time constraints to accomplish assignments and projects
Ability to work well with others as part of a Team, enjoy dealing with challenging issues, and work well in demanding situations
Ability to handle confidentiality, detailed work, problem-solving, reasoning, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
Human Resource Management or related field
Leadership management techniques and supervisory skills
Working with various employment laws, employment-related regulations and requirements, governmental regulations and compliance, and human resource practices
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
