Southeastrans Inc Hiring for Human Resources Generalist at Indianapolis, IN Full Time

Position Summary:

The HR Generalist handles and provides support for various HR employee programs within the Chattanooga, Tennessee location. The position will report to the HR Manager and serve as a point of contact for HR related issues. The generalist will liaise with corporate HR to problem solve and address employee matters.

Essential Function:

• Assists HR Manager with HR function
• Handles minor employee relations issues and concerns.
• Conducts new hire training orientation.
• Full cycle recruiting – Sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, phone screens, scheduling interviews, offer letters, etc.
• Maintain listing of approved positions along with status in hiring process.
• Process personnel action forms and ensures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms.
• Prepare new-hire paperwork and assist with orientation.
• FMLA/ADA processing
• Assisting in maintaining current HR files and databases
• Project and event management; example- helping plan and execute company events
• Serves as committee liaison for engagement and activities.

There are no direct reports for this position

Preferred Experience

Associates degree or relevant experience. 1-3 years general human resources experience, including direct employee relations.

Experience within a Call Center environment is an added advantage.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge

• Exhibits high level of discretion and confidentiality
• Intermediate to strong office skills including the Microsoft office suite-TEST
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Project and event management; example- helping plan and execute company events
• Providing customer service to employees, vendors and potential candidates
• Strong organizational ability; example- setting appointments and arranging meetings
• Must be organized, accurate, thorough and able work both independently and as part of a team
• Must be dependable, able to follow instructions
• General Employment law knowledge

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
