About the role:
We are looking for an HR Operations Manager who is passionate about building stellar experiences for employees and thrives in creating order from chaos to come lead our exceptional people team! We are in hyper growth mode (10X headcount in 2 years) and with growth comes operational policies and systems that need to scale. You will play a critical role in helping us optimize our people operations and keep our company humming smoothly as we continue to scale. You will also manage a small and mighty team and partner with our senior leadership, talent acquisition and communications teams to develop a world-class people program to ensure that all of our teammates have what they need to be wildly successful at Jerry.
Responsibilities:
Develop and streamline a performance management program in collaboration with cross-functional leaders and talent team
Optimize workplace policies, procedures and HR compliance across multiple offices in the U.S. and Canada
Manage people operations including payroll, benefits, stock option grants, LOA/PTO policies, and other operational human resources tasks
Work closely with the talent acquisition team to support the growth of our team and develop a seamless onboarding process for all of Jerry
Partner with talent and communications teams to continuously assess and improve our employee engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in people operations (experience weathering a startup strongly preferred)
Prior experience with onboarding, benefits including LOA/PTO policies, payroll, performance management and offboarding
Knowledge of employment laws and workplace safety best practices across various jurisdictions in the U.S. (we have staff across 19 states)
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
