The Brand Engagement Consultant supports our Purpose by physically manifesting Southwest’s values and Hospitality through the creation of human touchpoints, activations, and content. This role provides Customers with the opportunity to experience the Southwest Brand as a part of their lifestyle while ensuring alignment with Brand Governance standards. This is a highly collaborative role working with teams in Marketing, Customer Experience, Communications, Culture and Engagement, Southwest Business, Community Outreach, and Legal to develop strategy , negotiate contracts, and ensure we’re maximizing our partnerships and meeting our objectives in the mark et . The Brand Engagement Consultant is a self-starter with a creative mindset and strong interpersonal skills who looks forward to promoting the Southwest Brand.
Additional Details:
The culture of Southwest Airlines means we embrace a flexible workplace and value the camaraderie, collaboration, and innovation that occurs when we come together and interact face-to-face at our vibrant Corporate Campus. This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Job Summary
The Brand Engagement Consultant leads team innovation, strategy, and development, and grows affinity for the Southwest brand through local market events, sponsorships, activations, enterprise initiatives, and media promotions that engage customers.
Responsibilities
Build relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners
Manage agency partners, cast a strategic vision, and develop programs from concept evaluation through execution and media placement ensuring the final campaign meets the strategic objective
Negotiate partnership agreements, manage partner relationships, and ensure all elements are leveraged to their maximum potential
Foster innovation, expand team tools and capabilities, and improve processes
Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources to establish an understanding of numerous markets and execute locally to maximize marketing initiatives, investments, and work streams
Drive work forward in line with local market strategy, follow through against established timelines, and identify areas for improvement
Serve as a trusted resource to assist teammates and other departments in understanding marketing, current initiatives, and best practices
Identify solutions to positively impact the environment of the team and Marketing department
Work with leaders to align priorities, constructively address project work, and build personal development plans
Identify evolving business needs, industry trends, and advancements in the field of marketing
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skilled in communicating effectively by listening intently, questioning appropriately, and articulating clearly in both written and verbal formats
Skilled in handling high volumes of work with ability to prioritize effectively and hit promised timelines
Ability to possess strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills required
Ability to possess strategic thinking skills, drive process improvement, and see the big picture
Ability to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to deliver quality work within a low-cost environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments to influence business decisions
Ability to demonstrate high emotional intelligence in various situations dealing with both customers and fellow employees
Ability to proactively monitor future marketing trends Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
Marketing, advertising, communications, experiential
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Air travel with overnight stays required
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $97,750 to $108,600 pending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the
discretion of the company.
