The Human Resources Coordinator will provide support to the Human Resources Department on a broad range of human resource activities and projects.
Essential Responsibilities:
RECRUITMENT
Assists Recruitment and Development Manager with posting job opportunities.
Assist Recruitment and Development Manager by reviewing resumes and calling applicants.
Schedule interviews with HR & be able to interview candidates when HR Manager and Director are not available
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Coordinate onboarding with new employees and conduct orientation
Assist during the onboarding of international seasonal employees
BENEFITS
Assist with Benefits administration, including all lines of coverage not limited to medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, basic life, 401K, etc.
Assist, coordinate and submit workers comp claims while following up with employees, providers and carrier to ensure care and wages are being handled.
ADMINISTRATION, COMPLIANCE & TRAINING
Maintenance of HRIS and TLM system
Maintenance of employee files accurately
Maintenance of employee communications including website, employee boards, employee HRIS notifications, etc.
Review and administer invoicing.
General office support: Make copies, scan, prepare mailings, faxing, emailing.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
Collaborate on events and activities of HR department
Administer employee recognition programs
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Handle verification letters and verification of employment.
Handle an employee question by phone, email and or in person in a timely manner.
Address employee concerns and listen to ideas/suggestions.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Must have strong computer skills with focus on Microsoft Office
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills in English, with additional language skills in Haitian Creole strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment

Must be an independent thinker.
Must be able to work independently, as well as amicably in a team environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience
Prior experience in country club, resort/hotel preferred
