Job Title: Livestock Operations Director Location: Tiffin, Ohio s to: VP Cattle Operations North America As the Livestock Operations Director you will lead daily facility cattle operations as well as the hiring, training, and continued development of staff. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing of work, providing feedback (including discipline of employees), and addressing and resolving complaints. You are also responsible for organizing and overseeing care for all bulls such as feeding, turnout, grooming, feed and watering, monitoring their general health, and the administering of medications and supplements. The livestock operations director oversees the overall appearance of the bull stud including the barn, landscape, and offices. The livestock operations director is required to to offer 24/7 coverage, including weekends for operations needs. On site living accommodations are available. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in animal science or related field.
- Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine is a plus.
- Proven ability, experience and a sound understanding of bovine care.
- 10+ years bovine facility operations experience.
- 5+ years bovine facility leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Bovine semen collection.
- Demonstrated experience in Bovine medical care and injury preventative practices.
