OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE
Oversee all daily operations of the plant including Direct to Film department ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Develop processes that will identify and eliminate waste, maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. Driving accountability with peers and employees to the established standards across all areas of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for all Direct to Film KPIs and company goals.
Adherence to Lean waste reduction principles and methodology
Solutions are based on Data analysis in Excel and pivot tables to fix root causes
Able to create data collection systems to understand current state root cause before creating a future state
Responsible for performance management of production employees. This will include: performance reviews, goal-setting, production goals, disciplinary action, career development and succession planning.
Develops direct reports through teamwork, coaching and innovation.
Working through the Plant Manager, the Direct to Film is responsible for quality control by emphasizing safe work practices and a team atmosphere to obtain desired production and working conditions.
Develop and Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for press operator beginning and end of shift preventive maintenance accountability.
Work closely with Quality Management to understand root causes and implement preventative fixes.
Responsible for cost control and efficiency initiatives relating to the Direct to Film operations.
Daily requirements include analyzing trends to predict production outcomes, inventory of consumables, recruitment and retention of staff, and maintaining close interaction with the VP of Operations, General Manager and Plan Manager
Maintains existing Direct to Film and equipment, replacing or making adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary in coordination with Facilities Team
Critical skills include leadership of the management team, safety practices, instrumentation, automated plant operations programs and a strong understanding of the print on demand process.
Consistent attendance and is seldom absent from work. Is responsible for 24-hour operation and expected to respond to developing conditions and crisis situations when necessary.
Actively promote company vision, mission, and values with employees, outside vendors, and customers.
Present capital request justifications to the VP of Operations.
Communicate production performance to and carry out all directives from the VP of Operations.
Effectively communicate with the management team and other departments to keep them informed and resolve issues.
Meet with various vendors that supply production related products.
Uses good judgment in advising activities and operating parameters for all departments.
Establishes policies and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness and safety.

Education and/or Experience
Previous production or manufacturing experience is required.
Lean Six Sigma-GB or BB certification preferred
Language Skills
Ability to follow written instructions in the form of emails, simple instructions, job notes, simple reports, and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate effectively with all employees of the organization.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Mathematical Skills
Demonstrated intermediate skills in Excel or Sheet is required
Powerpoint presentation skills are preferred
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to pay attention to detail to tell whether or not products can be sent out to customers.
