Description
StarCare Specialty Health System (StarCare) is in search of a dynamic and highly motivated individual to fill the role of Talent Acquisition Specialist in the Human Resources Department. As a Recruiter, you will play a vital role in identifying, recruiting, and screening talented candidates for StarCare. Working closely with hiring managers, you will facilitate the recruitment and selection processes.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist needs to be:
– Customer-Focused: You understand and align your activities with the objectives of our internal and external customers.
– Action-Oriented: You take initiative, possess excellent critical-thinking skills, and can solve problems independently.
– Organized: You excel at prioritization and project management, delivering results on time with meticulous attention to detail.
– An Effective Communicator: You communicate clearly, transparently, and respectfully, both in writing and verbally. Fluency in English is required.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
– Lead job posting and advertisement processes.
– Consult with hiring managers to understand job requirements and qualifications.
– Assess applicants to identify the best fit for open positions.
– Screen and connect qualified candidates with hiring managers.
– Follow up with hiring managers and collect feedback.
– Verify candidates’ references and credentials.
– Maintain communication with candidates throughout the onboarding process.
– Generate reports on various recruitment metrics.
– Stay updated on market salaries, candidate availability, and industry trends.
– Attend job fairs and networking events.
– Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
– Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
– Proficient in clear and concise communication, both oral and written.
– High degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
– Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
– Strong time management and organizational abilities.
– Familiarity with relevant hiring laws and regulations.
– Proficiency in HRIS applicant tracking systems (experience with Paycom is a plus!).
– Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other employment laws.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
– Must pass pre-employment screenings (drug screen, background check, and MVR).
Schedule: This is a full time (40 hours per week), non-exempt position scheduled Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with flexibility to meet the needs of the department. This position requires on-site work (must live in the Lubbock area).
