PROJECTS REVIEW AND PLANNING COORDINATOR
GENERAL DEFINITION:
An administrative position performing difficult technical and paraprofessional work preparing and maintaining Authority drawings and distribution system maps; does related work as required. Will involve some administrative field work. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Executive Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS:
records and files and provides updates to the consulting engineers as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
General knowledge of Authority operations and procedures; general knowledge of the techniques used to prepare routine engineering drawings; knowledge and ability to read utility and land development plans; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, government officials and associates; ability to prepare drawings; skill in the operation of mapping equipment.
Education And Experience
An associate degree in a Civil Engineering related discipline with a minimum of 3-years’ experience or equivalent work experience is preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products. Experience with water utility project planning is preferred. Experience with GIS is preferred.
CONDITIONS OF WORK:
This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects; work requires reaching, fingering, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at or within arm’s length, operation of machines, operation of motor vehicles or equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surrounding and activities; the worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
