Position Summary: The HR Generalist, Manufacturing, is responsible for talent acquisition, onboarding, training, team member relations, administrative functions to support payroll and benefits, employee engagement, company culture and workforce planning. You will support the organization by working directly with our manufacturing team to improve performance, retention and overall team member experiences. Primary Responsibilities: • Source, recruit, interview and facilitate the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions in a timely manner • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competences required for positions with the site • Conduct new hire orientations and support new team member training programs • Drive and actively engage culture through positive interactions with the workforce including a presence on the production/warehouse floor • Carry out all responsibilities in support of the following functional areas; onboarding, team member engagement , employee relations, benefits support and communications and administrative compliance (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.) • Plan employee engagement events to drive positive morale • Conduct employee relation investigations • Support safety through effective policies and training programs • Administer benefits and support enrollment of employees into appropriate benefit programs • Performs routing filing, scanning and archiving of records to ensure record retention compliance • Support the ISO program through collection of appropriate metrics and documentation EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Bachelor degree in business, human resources, or related field • 1-2 years of relevant experience, internships preferred • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Knowledge of employment related laws and regulations • Willingness to learn new systems and processes • Ability to work with both management and hourly workforces to build consensus and trust • Experience with Microsoft word, powerpoint and excel • Strong attention to detail • Strong communication skills • Proven ability to positively impact morale EOE Statement: State Industrial Products is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, veteran status, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status or disability (in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act*), or any other legally protected status, with respect to employment opportunities.
