This advertisement is for a Career Service position located in the Office of the Inspector General/Head Quarters (Tallahassee, FL).
The Bureau of State Investigations/Law Enforcement conducts and coordinates complex investigations designed to detect, deter, prevent, and eradicate fraud, waste, mismanagement, misconduct, and other abuses in state government. The investigative authority is pursuant to FSS 944.31, Inspector general; inspectors; power and duties; FSS 20.055, Agency inspectors general and FSS 943, Department of Law Enforcement.
This Position Will Be Located In The Following County
Salary Rate: $1,260.00 Biweekly
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
The incumbent in this position compiles, analyzes, and disseminates information and intelligence from various agencies, the public, and other sources. Additionally, the incumbent will request, receive, analyze, and document information of a criminal nature. The incumbent in this position is considered to have regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of Chapter 60L-36, Florida Administrative Code. Additionally, the incumbent will be expected to become familiar with the Inspector General’s directives; display leadership skills that demonstrate the IG’s commitment to the mission of detecting and deterring waste, fraud, abuse, and misconduct in Departmental programs and personnel, and to promote economy and efficiency in those programs. The incumbent in this position is expected to become familiar in the department’s reentry initiatives; display leadership skills that demonstrate the department’s commitment to reentry efforts for offenders while maintaining a professional demeanor.
