POSITION DUTIES
The Policy Analysts will report directly to the Policy Director, who along with the Executive Director, AIB staff, supports the Board, which consists of seven members appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. The Policy Analysts will facilitate the work related to the Blueprint Pillar of their expertise including content area technical assistance, professional development, and training. The Policy Analysts also collaborate with the AIB staff to evaluate and support each school system’s Blueprint implementation plan, with specific attention to their area of expertise, ensuring alignment to the Blueprint Law. In addition, the Policy Analysts will interface with representatives from local school systems, State and local agencies, and stakeholders as an expert on the Blueprint Law related to their focus area.
AIB is a fast paced, team working organization. The basic expectations of all AIB employees are to rapidly learn, take initiative, collaborate with team members, accomplish the quantity of work expected, and adapt to rapid changes in work assignments.
This is a Special Appointment position and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Policy or other related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Six years of experience in education and/or public policy, public administration, or related field.
