Main Purpose of Job
The purpose of the position is to collect, analyze, evaluate, and disseminate Homeland Security and Intelligence information and provide case support for uniform criminal investigative activities and coordinate the sharing of criminal intelligence information among the Maryland State Police (MSP), Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center (MCAC) to include the Baltimore Regional Intelligence Center (BRIC) and government agencies in Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region for the purpose of writing laws, resource allocation, providing critical information for officer/public safety, program targeting and investigative support.
POSITION DUTIES
This position is required to work alternating/rotating shifts, weekends and holidays on an as needed basis. Will also be required to be on call as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Seven years of experience, three years of experience collecting, analyzing, assessing and disseminating criminal intelligence information and four years of additional experience as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst, in related law enforcement background investigative experience or prior military intelligence experience.

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties, which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

SELECTION PROCESS
Only candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be considered for this classification. Therefore, it is essential that you provide complete and accurate information on your application. Successful candidates will be placed on the Eligible List categorized as BEST QUALIFIED, BETTER QUALIFIED or QUALIFIED and remain eligible for consideration for at least one year from the date of examination. The list will be used by the hiring manager to select employees. The list will be valid for one year.
EXAMINATION PROCESS
The examination will consist of a rating of your education, training and experience related to the requirements of the position. You may be required to complete a qualifications supplement, or the rating may be based on your application. Report all experience and education that is related to this position.
