– Sunrise Leader
The Human Resource Support Center (HRSC) Representative is responsible for providing general human resource services to team members, department coordinators and Executive Directors which meet or exceed Sunrise quality service standards. This position is a 100% work from home opportunity. The HRSC Representative will support all the United States and Canada.
• Responding to phone calls and emails from community leaders regarding HR process and procedures
• Acting as a resource for HR policies, compliance (federal & state requirements) and required screenings, such as background checks and employment screens, required training, workers’ compensation, etc.
• Assisting in escalation of employee relations, HR technology, payroll, and benefits issues to the appropriate HR or Payroll team.
• Supporting all employee relations efforts and providing guidance to managers on the process for investigations, discipline and terminations and then escalating these as needed to the Regional HR Managers.
• Providing rehire guidance and review based on policies and guidelines.

• Assists in responding to/researching community questions daily. Communicates regularly with appropriate leadership regarding community issues.
• Works with Business Office Coordinators (BOC) and Community Support Office subject matter experts to escalate and resolve issues
• Interfaces with Executive Director and department coordinators via telephone and email to provide advice and counsel on team member relations matters
• Escalate complex team member relations issues to Regional Human Resource leadership
• Leverage call center metrics to identify themes and participate in developing proactive solutions to address those themes
• Complies with Federal, State and Sunrise standards pertaining to employment laws
• Develops a working knowledge of state health care regulations and ensures compliance through coaching community leadership
• Takes positive actions to ensure equal opportunity in the conduct of all business activities without regard to race, creed, age, sex, or national origin
Qualifications:
• At least two years of human resources-related experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience in senior care, health care or hospitality industries preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of Federal and state employment labor laws
• Proven ability to handle highly confidential information and manage information with utmost integrity
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills when working with others
• Demonstrated dedication to providing outstanding customer service
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication
• Demonstrated effective competencies in organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
• Ability to work set hours and a possible on-call rotation that may include, evenings and flexible hours
