Position is responsible for the planning, directing, and management of budgetary functions and responsibilities for the Departmentwide Administration, Child Support, Community Services, Disability Determination, and Health Policy Section’s including budget development, monitoring, and control activities. This position requires strong communication skills (written/verbal), organizational skills to manage the diverse functional areas it supports, and a solution-oriented mind-set.

Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or
one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Alternate Education and Experience
Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and
regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law
enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience
requirements.
Additional Requirements and Information
This position will work remotely. Occasional travel to the office located at 235 N Grand Ave, Lansing MI 48933 may be required. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:
A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
