The Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting the general education or special education teacher in
providing instruction in the areas of reading, language and math. The employee operates within the
guidelines of the specific program. The employee receives general supervision, works within
established methods, policies, procedures, and oral instructions, and uses independent judgement to
select a proper course of action. Position located inside the security perimeter of a multi-level
correctional facility. This is a random drug/alcohol test position. The employee may be asked to work
at an alternate site and/or adjusted work hours as needed.
