Inspects the installation of new street lighting and/or related lighting systems, and appurtenant electrical equipment, to assure compliance with pertinent codes, ordinances, plans and specifications; conducts preventive maintenance inspections of existing systems and recommends changes and improvements; investigates service requests and complaints; and performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four years of journey level line electrician or related experience involving the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical power lines and equipment.
License Requirement:
Valid appropriate driver’s license (automobile/Type 3), prior to appointment.
