Stride was founded in 2014 with a small group of 3 and has grown into a company of 60. Stride has been trusted to build software for companies such as: Stash, CodeAcademy and Plated.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Onboarding
Coordinate scheduling of onboarding for new hires
Procure equipment, licenses, books, and swag to deliver to new hires to be ready for first day
Monitor emerging new hire needs and develop proactive, innovative solutions
Manage Strider new hire buddy program
Facilitate new hire orientation and training during onboarding
Coordinate and administer compliance and diversity training for new hires
Employee Engagement
Effectively communicate with team members on an ongoing basis.
Collaborate with the Chief People Officer and other Striders to identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and test new solutions.
Partner with the Chief People Officer to design and administer pulse surveys and annual Strider engagement survey.
Track usage of, and employee satisfaction with, our offsite coworking spaces. Partner with the work space vendor to address employee concerns and answer employee questions. Update Remote-First Policies & Guidelines based on feedback from Striders.
Rewards and Recognition
Keep track of Striders’ milestones, gift vendors, and other relevant information for recognition programs, and coordinate delivery of gifts.
Draft and send engaging messages to the Strider community to celebrate employee milestones.
HR Policies & Compliance
Listen to Striders’ needs, and propose new policies to address their needs.
Assist with drafting HR policies and guidelines.
Administer HR policies and guidelines by helping Striders understand policies, answering their questions, and partnering with Striders to apply policies consistently.
Partner with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to make sure our HR systems are set up to be compliant with our policies, including, for example, our time off policies, and our benefits and compensation programs.
Update handbook to comply with federal, state and local laws.
Assist with implementation of compliance training.
Collaborate with PEO to address employee concerns about PTO, payroll and benefits.
HR Reporting
Assist with creating, monitoring and reporting metrics on all HR programs to measure their effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions.
Initiate data change requests and ensure system accuracy of HR transactions including new hires, terminations, job changes, salary modifications and other job-related requests.
Prepare reporting, and analysis as required, for recruiting, annual talent review, compensation planning, engagement surveys, and remote-first work practices.
