Job Responsibilities:
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating LTL terminal operations across multiple shifts. A primary focus will be placed on keeping freight moving within safety and business policies while keeping strong positive relationships with customers. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and a customer service focus.
Additional responsibilities include:
Ensure proper freight handling procedures are followed.
Plan hourly employee schedules to meet daily KPI’s and goals.
Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock workers.
Must have knowledge of the five Boroughs and Long Island areas for routing driver deliveries.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of previous LTL supervisory or management experience required.
Must have good computer skills.
Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, train, and mentor employees.
Lean Management training preferred.
Compensation and Benefits Package:
Salary: $85,000 PLUS participation in monthly management incentive program.
Health Insurance.
401K with company match.
2 weeks paid vacation days.
6 paid personal days.
