Traveling Low Voltage Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Complete low voltage commercial installation projects with major customers across the United States.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the Director of Operations and other technicians regarding project status, deliverables, and planning.
• Complete project installations and service to ensure they are completed to industry standards and project specifications.

Qualifications and Skills

• Willing to travel throughout the US, 2-3 weeks at a time.
• Technical skills and knowledge of telecommunications industry and/or installation including voice, data and video structured cabling systems.
• Working knowledge of TIA and BICSI Standards; including installation, trouble shooting and service.
• Industry specific manufacturer certifications and BICSI training and/or certifications preferred.
• Working knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, communication standards and installation.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess good decision-making skills.
• Enjoys hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of structured cabling experience or education.

Education

• High school or equivalent.
