At SWCA Environmental Consultants, we are looking for a People Support Manager – Employee Relations to manage our Employee Relations team who supports SWCA’s approximately 1100 full-time, part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees. The position will be 100% remote, from a home office.

Reporting to the People Support Director, the People Support Manager – Employee Relations will focus on leading the Employee Relations (ER) team, managing People Support Programs, and providing excellent internal customer service support always. The goal is to ensure the ER team’s operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization and all team members.

The People Support team leads the Inclusion and Diversity strategy and efforts at SWCA by working in collaboration with the larger Human Resources team, our Employee Resource Groups, and the Senior Leadership team. The Senior People Support Manager will play a crucial role in advancing our Inclusion and Diversity programs.

What you will accomplish:

• Lead and develop a team of People Support staff (currently 2).
• Create, implement, and manage a standardized investigation process to ensure all investigations are conducted thoroughly and timely.
• Analyze and report on exit survey data to track voluntary turnover reasons and opportunities to improve employee engagement and retention.
• In partnership with the People Support Director, the Senior Leadership Team and Operational Leadership, manage the Employee Engagement Survey program which includes a company-wide engagement survey every 18 months and quarterly pulse surveys.
• Lead the bi-annual Performance Review program- creating and executing a communications plan, training, and coaching leaders, tracking and reporting on completion data and ensuring the People Support team answers all performance review related questions timely and effectively.
• Manager and administrator of the Ethics Point system, ensuring all complaints are investigated and responded to promptly.
• Monitor the HR Confidential email inbox (including occasional nights and weekends) to ensure the team responds to all emails within 24 hours.
• Cultivate strong relationships with SWCA Leadership across the organization.
• Continually evaluate People Support processes for improvement.
• Champion and support Inclusion and Diversity efforts across the organization taking lead on various initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience and qualifications for success:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a relevant field
• 5+ years in Human Resources
• 2+ years in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of labor and employment law nationwide
• Ability to build credibility and inspire confidence at all levels of the organization; maintain a fair and impartial attitude
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong counseling and coaching skills
• Technically savvy with data analysis skills and ability to learn new systems and platforms

• PHR or SPHR preferred
• Experience working in a consulting or professional services company or similar industry with billable hours
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce and/or SharePoint a plus
