Responsibilities: A Day in the Life
As a Developer II you will be one of the pillars connecting the floor and ceiling, holding the structure in place. You will be on the front lines of new development projects, working alongside newer developers, whom you must guide, and the dev lead, whom you must support. You will work directly with the client providing guidance and assistance in day-to-day matters related to the products you build/support for them. Your involvement will vary depending on where you are needed most

Technical Aptitude*
Provide programming and support services for client server, web based, and business process software solutions to maintain robust, user friendly, and highly available solutions as a member of the Enterprise Applications team at the College of Southern Nevada.
These duties are deemed typical, but not inclusive of other duties as client and company needs change:
Installs or assists vendors in the installation of enterprise software and software components including patches and upgrades. Often involves custom configurations, end user requirements gathering, integration with other systems, and customizations.
Responds to end user inquiries, requests, and help desk tickets concerning systems operation, errors, and diagnoses, resolving system bugs and user problems.
Recommends, troubleshoots and/or performs minor and/or major remedial actions to correct problems. These actions may include the repair, updating, or replacement of software components, entire systems, or the re-installation of applications.
Interacts with other functional areas in the Digital Experience Services (DxS) to ensure the smoothest installation, security, and robust operation of systems including server requirements, networking requirements, integration points, and operational needs assessment.
Develop custom programs, interfaces, stored procedures, and scripts both individually and in teams utilizing C#, MVC, ASP.NET, JavaScript, SQL, PowerShell, Microsoft Power Platform. Experience with Onbase or other workflow automation platforms a plus.
Provides updates, status, and completion information to team members, manager and/or CIO, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
Create and maintain application, process, and maintenance documentation for developed and vendor applications including system operation, configuration, integration points, architecture, and special considerations.
Work with the entire Enterprise Applications team to design and implement new systems including recommending best practices, code review, interface elements, integration concerns, and database design.
Design, develop, and maintain automation procedures for data integration and maintenance tasks related applications and databases for supported software systems.
