About the role:
The Cell Therapy Pharmaceutical Sciences team is pursuing several programs towards in-human clinical studies, in addition to managing Takeda’s commercial cell therapy assets. The primary focus of this role will be to assist the Cell Therapies automation team in implementing novel ideas and advancing digital initiatives in the areas of bioprocess automation, predictive model and control, Digital Twin, data integration and analytics. At Takeda we are looking for smart, data driven, creative data scientists and machine learning engineers capable for applying artificial intelligence and machine learning in solving problems in drug discovery.
As a Full stack Front-End focused Engineer, utilize user experience design, usability, user interface design and interaction design along with front-end development to create consumer facing and internal web applications utilizing tools and skills, including HTML, SCSS, Responsive Design, JavaScript etc., promote and ensure a consistent look, feel and experience across multiple platforms while evolving user experience concepts, providing design layouts, workflows, prototypes and high – fidelity graphics.
How you will contribute:
Delivery of high-performance web user experiences leveraging responsive UI/UX frameworks and applying industry best practices to drive customer engagement.
Partner with front end developers to tune UX for responsiveness and compatibility. Partner with laboratory SMEs to develop near real-time data capture interfaces.
Ensuring responsive design works across computing platforms.
Uses various analytical IT processes and independent judgment to develop innovative solutions, executes enhancements, and resolves complex technical challenges to deliver consistent quality services to IT solutions and platforms.
Contributes to efforts in the technical planning, architecture development, and changes in specifications.
Work as technical specialist alongside business, product development and infrastructure teams within a distributed agile environment.
What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, computer science, computer engineering or similar with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Work experience as an UI/UX developer with HTML5 and SASS.
Practice efficient time management and coordinates tasks, working in an international environment.
4+ years of experience leading UX development in HTML5, CSS3, SASS.
4+ years creating user interactions with JavaScript.
Proficient with build tools, Webpack, pre-processors, and asset pipeline
Proficient with collaborative tools like Git.
Self-starter with a passion for taking ownership of your work and delivering outcomes.
Excellent communication skills, a team player with a ‘winning as a team’ attitude.
Ability to write and speak in the English language.
Practice efficient time management and coordinates tasks, working in an international environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with React.js or AngularJS Python. Familiarity with LabKey platform is a plus.
Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Experience working in a life sciences environment.
Familiarity with regulated systems and general level of understanding of quality systems validation.
