TCC Materials Hiring for Inventory Accountant Job at Mendota Heights, Dakota, MN Full Time

Job Summary

The Inventory Control Accountant is responsible for item maintenance, costing, manufacturing routings and bills of materials, and managing physical inventories of a multi-plant manufacturing company. This position will also maintain the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) program, maintaining smooth communications for production using EDI tools and ensuring smooth transitions when changes or maintenance are required.

• Item maintenance, including item set-up, manufacturing bills of materials and routings.
• Assist in the set-up and transition to a new ERP (NetSuite) set-up and implementation of both an inventory management system (RF-Smart) for all facilities and inventory forecasting software package (Inventory Advisor) at the Bluestone Manufacturing facilities, train users, and assist with ongoing questions/issues following implementation.
• Report on discontinued and obsolete/at-risk items, manufacturing work center labor and overhead rates, production metrics, physical inventory impacts, and other ad-hoc requests.
• Responsible for ensuring on an ongoing basis that data is being inputted into the EDI system properly, and that data is being correctly sent to and from the EDI system without errors and in a timely manner.
• Administer and provide technical support for receiving and sending of all EDI documents and troubleshoot to resolve all content issues, mapping problems, and price discrepancies.
• Coordinate with third party EDI provider and trading partners to set up new processes, analyze all customer requirements for processes, perform tests of EDI transmissions, and maintain all documents for trading partner implementations. Use problem solving skills to design and resolve operational issues related to new requirements.
• Various ad hoc reporting and research requests based on analysis of EDI transactions.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree required, with an emphasis in finance, accounting, business, or computer science.
• Proficient in a PC Window’s environment including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, computer literate with the ability to analyze and manage data.

• Must have strong communication ability and solid interpersonal/networking skills.
