Overview
TechBridge is a non-profit that arms other non-profits on the frontline of alleviating the causes of poverty and technology that will allow them to expand the impact of their mission for the millions of men, women and children who suffer from lack of access to shelter, food, employment, education, healthcare, and financial literacy.
The Human Resources Partner primarily provides human resources-related support, including the development and execution of talent management strategies and practices. The Human Resources Strategic Partner will also provide oversight and guidance for daily human resources-related transactions, processes, trainings, recruitment, and onboarding. The HR Partner will work closely with departmental managers and leaders to provide professional, solution-oriented consultation, as well as, to support an integrated program of equity, diversity and inclusion efforts to enhance TechBridge’s mission and goals. This position functions under the supervision of the Chief People & Operations Officer.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with a customer/client-focus and possess the ability to handle sensitive issues in a confidential, tactful, and organized manner. Equally important to this role is a demonstrated ability to perform a variety of complex and diverse tasks involving good judgment, integrity, flexibility, accuracy and collegiality. We are looking for someone who brings both soft and quantitative skills, an eagerness to learn, adapt and has a passion for the nonprofit space.

- Oversees the implementation of HR policies, programs, and practices, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation and classification, employee relations, work and leave administration, and retirements/separation within the assigned department
- Serving as the primary liaison to communicate changes and answering questions in HR policies, programs, and practices, and procedures
- Managing and monitoring transaction and process completeness, accuracy, and compliance department policies and procedures (e.g., collecting required supporting documentation)
- Providing guidance or interpretation on complex/ambiguous cases and consulting with leaders and managers, providing HR policy, program, or practice guidance and interpretation when appropriate
- Identifying training needs for employees and working with the COO to deliver
- Analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies/procedures
- Identifying, managing, and resolving complex employee relations issues. Coordinating with other areas of TechBridge as appropriate
- Facilitating and conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reduces legal risks, and ensures regulatory compliance
- Working closely with management and employees to improve working relationship, builds morale, and increases productivity and retention
- Providing guidance and input on reorganization, workforce planning and succession planning
- Attending regularly scheduled meetings with respective business units
- Collaborating effectively with a variety of stakeholders across the institution. Represents needs of units to HR to support planning and prioritization of changes
- Preparation of reports and applicant tracking system regularly
- Preparation of training materials, resources and powerpoint presentation
- Delivering trainings, onboarding and orientations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, human resources, business administration or a closely related field and 7 years of related professional level work experience; OR equivalent work experience
- Direct experience in human resources, employee relations and knowledge of employment law, regulations and leading practices
- Direct working knowledge of human resources regulations and leading practices
- Effective written communication and customer service skills
- Effective project management, planning and organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
- Ability to understand and apply information and data to solve problems and advance strategic plans
- Ability to manage interactions with employees and leaders at all level of the organization
- Ability and integrity to work with highly confidential information and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to facilitate difficult or sensitive conversations
- Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing to provide regular, consistent, and meaningful information
- Ability to work within strict time deadlines and with competing priorities
- Ability to foster relationships within the unit and HR and across other functional areas
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Experience with Workday HCM, Goggle and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of progressive human resource strategy and operations specifically in a nonprofit setting, and ability to manage change
- Certifications in PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
- Experience in a supervisory role with multiple direct reports
- Demonstrated experience in fostering and creating equity and promoting inclusive practices in a complex organization, including but not limited to a college/university community
