We are seeking a Purrchasing Administrative Assistant for our Seguin, Texas Plant.

Summary:

Assist in the daily duties of purchasing material required for production, maintenance related and operational supplies for the facility.

Essential Job Functions:

• Issue, review and maintain supplier / vendor purchase orders.
• Entry and verification of all receipts from suppliers, vendors, and customer supplied returnable containers into computer-based operating system & proper assigning of accounting codes.
• Maintain and verify all proper paperwork related to purchasing.
• Assist in supplier performance evaluations and in weekly supplier schedules for issues.
• Assist accounting department to reconcile invoices for payment.
• Assist in the quoting process for new items and cost reductions.
• Assist in inventories and cycle counts.
• Provide back-up for purchasing production raw materials and for production entry.
• Maintain inventory levels for MP2 storeroom and all manufacturing PPE supplies.
• Maintain and order office supplies.
• Creation and maintenance of production schedule.
• Answering and directing phone calls, sort and distribute mail.
• Greet plant visitors.
• Perform a variety of administrative and clerical task. Offering administrative support
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous purchasing experience.
• High School Diploma is required and an Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, e-mail) and familiar with other database related software.

Working Conditions:

Will be required to work within the plant – factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
