LabVIEW Skill-Sets
1. The engineer shall demonstrate a broad and complete understanding of the core features and functionality available in the LabVIEW Professional Development System 2016 and above.
2. The Engineer shall have a typical experience level of a Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD). A CLD demonstrates experience in developing, debugging, and deploying and maintaining medium-to-large scale LabVIEW applications (50+ VIs and files). A CLD is a professional with cumulative experience of approximately 12 to 18 months developing medium to large applications in LabVIEW.
3. The contractor shall develop LabVIEW code as per attached ‘LabVIEW Development Requirements for Contractors.docx’
Work Planning and Status Reporting
1. Software development will follow time-boxed iterations similar to Sprints in an Agile framework. Work packages will be broken down into sprint cycles of 2-3 week durations. The contractor shall breakdown work packages further into meaningful tasks for development and status reporting
2. The contractor shall provide bi-weekly status reports of work progress reports via email.
3. The contractor shall use a Version Control tools like SVN to maintain version history during the sprint cycle.
4. At the end of the sprint, the contractor shall demonstrate the work done including evidence of validation of the code modules developed during the sprint.
Technical Skills
· Strong LabVIEW skills, LabVIEW certified (CLAD, CLD, CLA) preferred
· Hands-on experience on working with instrumentation drivers for data acquisition devices
· Experience working with instrumentation protocols like GPIB, Serial, Modbus, TCP/IP, USB
· Familiar with Windows Application Development (WinAPI, external libraries, networking basics)
· Familiar with C++, Lab Windows CVI
· Familiar with test executive software like NI TestStand
· Familiar with databases and database management systems like MS SQL server
Electronics and Instrumentation
· Experience working with Instrumentation hardware (data acquisition systems, transducers, signal conditioning modules, power supplies)
· Familiar with Control systems
· Understand sensor calibration, signal conditioning (filtering, averaging, amplification, etc.)
· Understand Electrical & Hydraulic schematics and Automated Test Equipment layouts and diagrams
General
· Experience with developing software using standard Software development life cycle(s)
· Experience with Configuration Management for software
· Experience in development of test procedures based on CMMs for test parts
· Experience with MS Office tools
· Familiar with project scheduling and estimation of work
