Tel Aviv University International
New York, NY
About Tel Aviv University International
Tel Aviv University, Israel’s
largest and most comprehensive academic institution, is seeking an Admissions Coordinator for its Tel Aviv University International North
America Office located in New York City. This position will proactively manage the admissions and enrollment process for students in the
U.S. and Canada who are applying to and/or attending TAU International programs. TAU International hosts over 3000 international students
each year, a large percentage of which come from North America. While this role will primarily oversee study abroad and summer program
admissions and enrollment, the Coordinator will also provide basic advising services and guidance to other North American TAU International
students including those on full degree undergraduate and graduate programs.
Position Description
The
Admissions Coordinator is expected to clearly and consistently communicate with applicants at every stage of the student life cycle:
prospective and pending applicants, accepted and confirmed students, and outbound and returning students. The role will guide students
throughout the application and confirmation process from start to finish and connect outbound students with relevant resources to further
enhance their upcoming study experience. The Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for updating, issuing and following up on admissions
documents including acceptance letters and required pre-departure documents. The Admissions Coordinator will advise confirmed students as
they prepare for arrival which can include hosting pre-departure info sessions, supporting the student visa process, addressing questions
regarding course registration, housing matters, scholarship/funding opportunities, student life and student support services, and more. The
Admissions Coordinator will also be responsible for communicating with student home schools as necessary regarding TAU International
policies and procedures as they relate to admissions, enrollment, pre-departure processes, and general student services. As needed, this
position will assist with outreach and recruitment efforts such as attending study abroad fairs or information sessions throughout
North America, specifically during the busy travel seasons (primarily fall and spring semesters). Upon student completion of the program,
the Coordinator will work closely with our Israel team to issue student transcripts and provide any necessary guidance for students and
their home schools during the reentry process. Overall, the Coordinator is expected to approach the role with enthusiasm, creativity,
patience and sensitivity as they engage with a diverse population of students interested in studying at TAU.
This is a full-time role
based in our New York office. Due to the nature of the study abroad field, additional time beyond regular office hours is to be expected
from time to time and additional duties may be assigned outside of those described here. The Admissions Coordinator is expected to travel
throughout the U.S. and Canada, particularly during peak recruitment season (fall, spring) as well as once annually to Israel.
