We are looking for an HR Generalist. This role will be working to support a key engineering technical center and have exposure to true generalist duties in a high visibility location.
The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You’ll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the retirement plan administration for the company’s U.S. defined benefit, defined contribution, and supplemental retirement plans; working knowledge of Canadian retirement plans is a plus
Participate in recruitment, selection, and hiring of salaried exempt and non-exempt employees. Duties including but not limited to:
Coordinate recruitment efforts with Federal-Mogul’s Talent Acquisition team and outside recruitment agencies
Prepare job descriptions and job postings
Arrange and attend job fairs
Review resumes
Coordinate and conduct phone screens and onsite interviews
Prepare and present offer letters
Conduct reference checks and ensure pre-employment processes are complete
Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations
Responsible for maintaining Affirmative Action Program data as well as assisting the Human Resources Manager in meeting all EEO requirements
Maintain employee personnel files including personnel information, compensation, benefits, payroll, attendance, performance reviews, termination data and governmental compliance records
Maintain HR systems, including but not limited to ADP, TMS, SharePoint, Office Absence, Lotus Notes, OneStream, etc.
Prepare employee termination paperwork and conduct exit interviews
Prepare and enter all payroll related changes into ADP and submit process forms to Federal-Mogul’s Payroll department
Responsible for multiple headcount entities, updating and submitting headcount and forecast on a monthly basis along with updating and submitting headcount budgets on an annual basis
Responsible for all short-term disability (STD) and FMLA claims.
Meet with employees and explain the STD and FMLA benefit process
Manage STD claims online
Follow-up on claim status with employees
Process payroll changes in a timely manor
Track all STD and FMLA time
Manage return to work process
Document and file all STD and FMLA paperwork
Assist with communication and administration of health insurance and various benefit programs
Create, review and administer various HR reports such as, compliance training reports, motor vehicle reports, local job network reports, timecard reports, IATF audit reports, headcount reports, payroll reports, benefits reports, etc.
Maintain recruitment job files for governmental reporting purposes, including resumes, applications and candidate evaluation forms of interviewed and hired candidates
Administer workers compensation process including reports of accidents and injuries that occurred onsite, claim processing, return to work, restrictions, etc.
Manage the Internship and Co-op programs with responsibilities including recruiting, onboarding, off-boarding, communication of events, etc.
Assist employees in creating goals and career development plans. Assist managers in creating employee succession plans
Participate in external and internal audits of quality systems for all Business Units. Create and assist managers to complete annual training sheets
Complete annual review of applicable Quality System procedures in Federal-Mogul’s Quality Management System
Ensure all employees have an accurate job description on file
Ensure all locations are compliant with corporate policies and governmental posting regulations
Create and update organizational charts
Conduct various training sessions as required
Participate in positive employee relations activity programs
Assists in facility administration
Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor
