Job Description
Terrapin Care Station is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing company. This position will directly support the Terrapin Care Station operations in the Colorado locations which include the Aurora, Boulder, and Denver markets.
At Terrapin, human resources is focused on understanding what people need and knowing how to provide it. We are in search of a qualified and experienced HR Generalist to support our HR department in our Colorado locations. This position will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities. This position will work out of one of our Aurora locations with the need to travel to other locations on a regular basis to build and maintain relationships with employees and management.
The ideal candidate for this position is a hands-on team player that thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are looking for an individual with demonstrated experience in building a positive impact on an organization through streamlining HR processes, creating efficiency between HR and operational departments while creating a high-quality employee experience. This individual will oversee all related HR functions including on-boarding, orientation, benefit administration, leave of absence and worker’s compensation administration,
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct partnership to employees in all Colorado office locations.
Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
Handle all administrative tasks related to on-boarding, benefits administration, and status changes, including entering data into the HRIS systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
Provide an effective and positive service to the employee lifecycle in relation to absence and health issues, conduct, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state and federal labor laws
Serve as a liaison between employee and payroll for all payroll and benefits related matters
Qualifications and Requirements
5 years in an HR Generalist role to include employee relations, benefit and leave administration, on-boarding and orientation.
4 years experience using an HRIS system.
Proven success managing HR operations in a fast-moving culture.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication abilities.
Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire. Proof of vaccination required.
Salary/Pay Rate
$65,000.00 – $75,000
