The HR Generalist must be detail oriented and must be able handle multiple projects at one time. The ideal candidate will double check Compliance and benefits reports, submit accurate payroll changes, and handle all aspects of recruiting and onboarding. This individual will strive in a fast-paced environment, where projects are constantly being juggled from one to another or working on multiple projects at once – the candidate will need to be agile and easily adapt to change. This position does require constant employee interaction, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable working in an office setting daily. This is an individual contributor role that will join of team who report to the HR Manager.
What are the key responsibilities?
Complete entire new hire onboarding process from offer letter to first day in-processing.
Own termination, resignation, and retirement processing.
Manage requisitions as needed and work with managers on applicant follow-up.
Manage Wellness program including scheduling webinars, in-person luncheons, Health Fair vendors, and awarding Wellness program points.
Input all bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll changes and work with HR Manager/Payroll Accountant on changes.
Own Cybersecurity Training assignment, tracking, and follow-up with past due employees.
Own handling business insurance claims, including Workers’ Compensation, Vehicle, and Property.
Assist HR Manager with Compliance reporting materials checking for accuracy and detail.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Prior HR experience required, minimum five years.
HRIS experience preferred; Kronos/UKG a strong plus.
PHR/SHRM-CP Certification a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel reporting features.
Must have a Valid Drivers’ License – Travel – 25% required; overnight stays occasionally.
Strong computer skills, to include ERP and Microsoft Office Suite Products for generating reports.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to safely operate Motor Vehicle.
Must be able to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another.
Must be able to communicate, converse with, and exchange information by means of the spoken and written word.
Job will require repeating motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Must be able to stand, sit, bend, pull, twist, push, and pull as necessary to move equipment and/or product.
Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds, as necessary.
