ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages, coaches, and develops the HR and recruiting team, including the Talent Acquisition Specialist, the HR Generalist, and other assigned staff.
Develops and implements strong HR and payroll record keeping processes and ensures that all employees’ records are kept up to date by the HR team.
Addresses and documents any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations, and consults legal and HR resources as needed.
Develops and executes a strong recruiting strategy, driving the recruiting team’s efforts to ensure the company is well staffed. Helps lead recruiting efforts for key positions.
Assists with employee and management coaching and development, including training and personal improvement plans.
Develops and implements a strong employee engagement and retention program that strengthens employee satisfaction, esteem, and pride in the company. Efforts include, but are not limited to wellness programs, staff gatherings and events, company perks, facility improvements, staff recognition, volunteer programs, etc.
Analyzes and optimizes employee benefits, PTO, and compensation to minimize turnover, increase employee satisfaction, reduce cost, and improve recruiting.
Explores and implements strategies (wellness, carrier review, plan design, medical tourism, stop loss, etc.) to reduce medical and pharmaceutical claims while ensuring a competitive medical plan for employees.
Works with other company leaders to develop a strong training and development program that promotes growth for all employees.
Develops a strong DEI program and initiatives to ensure the company is living by its Guiding Values.
Collaborates and strategizes with Directors and Executives to improve employee experience, productivity, and recruiting.
Stays current on human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards and explains them to new and existing employees.
Participates in the Bailey Company’s safety, training, and environmental sustainability programs.
Handles other duties and special projects as assigned

Education/Training/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (required)
Master’s degree (preferred)

Strong communication skills
Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Ability to handle conflict
Willingness to adapt, learn, and take direction
Ability to maintain a positive presence in the workplace
