The Billing Department, Inc Hiring for Medical Biller Job at Remote Full Time

We are a growing, fast paced, national, technology based company. We are seeking a bright, self-starting, Medical Billing Representative, with primary job functions being medical billing.

• Accounts receivable (calling payers, researching in portals, investigating and resolving denied, no response and rejected claims)
• Submitting appeals for claims
• Auditing and submitting claims
• Benefit checks
• Posting payments (patients and EOBs/ERAs)
• Sending statements
• Answer patient billing questions

Other responsibilities include all aspects of follow-up and collections, verifying insurance payments for accuracy, submitting corrected claims and appeals for non-payment or additional reimbursement, patient collection calls, verifying provider contracts and credentialing status.

It is important to note, efficiency is key to our success. We utilize employee time tracking software to attach time worked on specific tasks to each of our clients. This software will allow us to monitor your activity and attach your activity to our internal project management software for each client. Preforming these tasks requires an employee to be efficient with all tasks. All tasks are assigned an estimated amount of time to complete and employees are evaluated, in part, on this aspect.

3-month probationary period.

Secure, quite, home-based office with a Windows based desk top computer and printer are required.

Requirements

Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

This is a part-time position, but the work must be performed within the hours we are open. We are open Monday through Thursday from 9AM until 4PM EST. This position must work during these hours.

Previous experience in a healthcare setting processing claims, billing, and collections.

CPC and knowledge of ICD-10, and CPT coding required.

Ability to function in a fast paced, frequently changing work environment, with many goals and deadlines.

This is a part-time position. 12 hours per week.
