SUMMARY

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day tasks and duties involving the Human Resources Department. Primary responsibilities include updating and maintaining the HRIS system, onboarding new employees, distributing and ordering uniforms, posting open positions, general office and administrative duties, and other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Onboard new hires and enter them into Paycom.
• Process PTO requests.
• Process benefit enrollment requests.
• Open new positions and post on appropriate job boards.
• Update Paycom with any employee changes.
• Run biweekly change report in Paycom. Make necessary changes with providers (UHC)
• Update 401(k) broker with any hires, rehires, and terminations.
• Issue uniforms to employees and order new ones as needed.
• Reconcile benefit invoices.
• Run reports.
• Reconcile credit card purchases for accounting.
• Update staff café screen.
• Keep Director of Human Resources up to date on all projects and employee requests.
• Attend meetings and calls as needed.
• Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.

  QUALIFICATIONS
• 
  Required
• College degree or equivalent.
• Work-related skills, knowledge and experience.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Computer training, preferably in Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.

Desirable

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably Human Resources related).
• Ability to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish.
• Experience in a Luxury Hotel Environment.

• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English, both orally and in writing, using correct spelling and grammar, with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding, both in person and by telephone.
• Ability to provide legible written communication.
