The VMC Group is an established engineering and manufacturing company in Bloomingdale, NJ searching for a proactive, hands-on Human Resources Manager to support our team of 200 employees in our location.
Reporting to the CEO and partnering with senior managers, this role provides comprehensive and proactive Human Resource support to employees and the company’s leadership in various locations across the United States. The essential responsibilities include:
§ Proactively manage and nurture employee relations
§ Manage the recruiting of all openings
§ Manage onboarding
§ Facilitate all benefit programs for union and non-union employees
§ Administer federal and state-specific Leaves of Absence
§ Facilitate a meaningful and timely Performance Management Program
§ Ensure job descriptions are reviewed and updated
§ Ensure accuracy and compliance of all employment files and all recordkeeping
Qualified applicants: are proficient in Microsoft Office, have a working knowledge of federal and state HR laws and regulations, and have a proactive approach toward risk mitigation. Critical thinking and creative –solving skills combined with sound judgment are key, and strong organizational problem-solving skills combined with sound judgment are essential and strong organizational problem-solving skills. This Human Resources role requires a professional with strong integrity and ethics and the proven ability to proactively and tactfully communicate verbally and in writing regardless of the circumstances at all levels. usiness acumen is key with experience in making sound decisions and recommendations in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications
¬ PHR or SPHR preferred
¬ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources is preferred
¬ Five years hands-on HR experience in a manufacturing environment
¬ Experience processing payroll through outsourced programs
