Position Summary:

Sr Cost Accountant will be responsible for product costing, manufacturing cost, Inventory and E&O analysis for SUT manufacturing site Nashville.

Key responsibility of the role will be to execute tasks relating to the month end financial close process of manufacturing cost, variance analysis, inventory control and calculation of excess and obsolete inventory. Perform cycle count audit in accordance with SOX control requirement. Ensure relevant & timely support for SOX control & external audit requests

Lead site Annual Cost Roll process – calculating WC rates, Standard Cost and their impacts on margin, inventory revaluation and Capitalized Variance netting.

Collaborate with the Operations Finance team to analyze cost data to identify efficiency opportunities to improve the total cost of product manufactured at manufacturing site Nashville.

Support Oracle R12 implementation for new manufacturing site set up for SUT.

Work with different functions and effectively communicate with different levels of employees in the company and demonstrate judgment, tact, and subtlety when looking after internal and external customers. Establish good controls at the site for product costing & inventory accuracy.

How will you get here?

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years of cost Accounting experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Proficiency in ERP systems R12 / JD Edwards is preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools like Hyperion, Power Bi, etc.
• PPI mindset with ability to streamline business process
• Self-starter, mature, independent and dependable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure, able to multi-task and is results-oriented.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• High degree of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public, including tact to handle sensitive matters.
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
