Performs technical and administrative functions to serve as principal technical point of contact to process all organization’s circuit orders. The contractor must have 3-5 years of high-level experience and excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other miscellaneous applications such as SharePoint 2010/13/16. The contractor must have strong analytical skills and be a creative self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team player. Contractor will respond to all requests for assistance and determine the appropriate actions to resolve problems within agreed upon time frames in a timely and courteous manner.
The position requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact and connect with a broad spectrum of people at all levels. The position requires excellent time management skills to coordinate many different types of diverse activities. Contractor should have knowledge of a variety of GSA/Network services, including Switched Voice Services (SVS), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), and Dedicated Transmission Services (DTS) is required. A high level of analytical and technical skills and mastery of Microsoft Excel and Access is required. Specifically, the contractor’s telecommunications staff will:
Plan and coordinate the installation, implementation, and integration of new equipment and users into the FWS wide area network. Contractor will work closely with regional staff to obtain network requirements, perform market research, provide hardware requirements for each option, obtaining a variety of quotes for sites, ordering, monitoring, scheduling and participation in installations/cutovers.
· Submits change request (CRQ) to higher-level ESN.
· Monitors order with Networx vendor
· Maintain accurate and complete system inventory list(s) of organization’s circuits, Internet Service Provider (ISP)
· Input data using spreadsheet and database software for inventory, cost tracking and analysis with high accuracy and attention to detail
· Maintain various databases used to track various network connections: Service Wide Area Network (SWAN) Connections, MPLS, Ethernet, Satellite, Point-to-point, DSL, Cable Modem, Frame Relay, Broadband
· Update Network SOPs when necessary.
· Performing other administrative duties as assigned, including managing procurement records including purchase orders
· Coordination of acquisitions and procurements
· Prioritizes and batches material for data entry
· Prepare and modify electronic documents.
