ABOUT THE CLUB
Town & Country Club is a private social and golf club located on the bluffs of the Mississippi River, just ten minutes from both downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis. Member amenities include Golf, Tennis, Pool, and Fitness. Featuring five areas for member dining, banquet and meeting facilities, our club is a place for family and friends to assemble and where memories are made. The Club is open to non-member events, such as weddings, family celebrations, business meetings and golf tournaments. Town and Country Club seeks out the top prospects for employment. POSITION SUMMARY
The Line Cook will report to the Executive Chef and assist the Sous Chef in food prep and execution. The candidate must be able to maintain a good working relationship and communicate effectively with co-workers and other club staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES
– Prepares all required items and serve items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
– Sets up service units with needed items
– Notifies Sous Chef of expected shortages
– Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary
– Assists Sous Chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
– Maintains neat and professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times
– Sets up, maintains and breaks down prep cook station
– Requisitions items needed to produce menu items
– Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
– Covers, dates, and neatly stores all leftover products that are re-usuable
– Maintains the highest sanitary standards
– Assists with other duties assigned by Sous or Executive Chef
QUALIFICATIONS
– Ability to follow policies and procedures
– Previous country club experience a plus
– Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
– Demonstrate good listening skills
– Bilingual is a plus
– Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
– Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
