The Construction Management & Engineering Division is seeking a Traffic (Roadway) Engineer to perform professional engineering services to plan, coordinate, and implement private and public project development and maintenance operations for the city’s transportation system. The ideal candidate will work well across department and division lines and with consultants and contractors. They will need to be able to multi-task and work well in a team-oriented environment. The preferred candidate will have design and/or project management experience in FDOT specifications and roadway design. Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field; supplemented by ten (10) years highly responsible technical experience in transportation/roadway engineering; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be a Registered Professional Engineer in any State of the United States with the ability to obtain registration in the State of Florida within one (1) year of employment. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
