Position Summary:
The Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for partnering with the TransChicago Truck Group management team to identify key recruiting needs and utilizing effective recruitment strategies that will attract and retain top talent. The HR Recruiter will be responsible for the day to day recruitment activities & initiatives driving full-cycle recruiting from the initial requisition through the employee onboarding experience.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Responsible for full-cycle talent recruitment, driving sourcing and recruitment activities.
Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships to understand the business unit, workforce planning strategies, recruitment needs and to create a partnership that ensures a seamless hiring process.
Researches and initiates new avenues to find quality applicants.
Maintains applicant records and reviews progress on all recruiting sources.
Attends career fairs and other hiring events to promote our openings and market our services.
Tracks recruiting efforts and outcomes submitting HR & ad hoc reports.
Identify opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency.
Assists in the process of ensuring all job descriptions are current and accurate.
Conducts new hire orientation for all newly hired personnel ensuring a positive employee onboarding experience.
Provides general administrative support to the HR Department and performs other HR duties as needed.
Education and/or Required Experience:
Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills and administration support skills
Customer-service-oriented, energetic, and positive working attitude
Bachelor s degree preferred
2+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting supporting a variety of functions
Proficient with Microsoft Office and internal recruiting tools
Must be able to keep confidential employee and team information discrete
