Duties

• Coordinate and schedule transportation activities for a fleet of vehicles
• Dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver goods to customers
• Monitor routes and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
• Communicate with drivers and customers to provide updates on delivery status
• Analyze transportation data and make recommendations for process improvements
• Update transportation log to input and track shipment information
• Collaborate with logistics team to ensure efficient use of resources and timely resolution of issues
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed

Skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in using transportation management software
• Familiarity with GIS technology for route optimization
• Knowledge of fleet management principles and best practices
• Ability to analyze transportation data and make data-driven decisions
• Understanding of logistics processes and supply chain management
