Hiring Manager: Sr. Director, Human Resources

Summary

• Reporting to the Head of HR for North America, the HRBP will work closely with business leaders and their management teams in our R&D functions under the legal entity TSMC Technology Inc.
• With an employee base that’s spread across multiple geographic locations (San Jose, CA, San Diego, CA, Austin, TX, Ottawa, Canada) you will partner with the broader HR team on planning and delivering HR programs and services to the business to drive business outcomes.
• This role will partner with business leaders to deliver on business objectives and interpret what people enablers are necessary to deliver business results.

Description:

• Partner with business leaders in the US and Taiwan, and the wider HR Team to build, develop and retain a high-performing workforce.
• Coach and build the capability of leaders to anticipate and pre-empt people-centric organizational issues.
• Resolve employee relations issues and address grievances and policy issues.
• Partner with leaders to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
• Analyze trends and metrics which impact workforce performance.
• Business acumen with ability to identify root-cause issues, match people strategies to business strategies, and provide input to the development of programs that drive results.
• Proven ability to be a trusted partner. Builds credibility by providing a strong and visible HR leadership presence with leaders, people managers and employees, locally and globally.
• Collaborative colleague adept at navigating complex stakeholder matrix to identify, influence and implement solutions.
• Team oriented consensus builder who understands how to achieve buy-in from diverse constituencies, building bridges and designing “win-win” solutions.
• The ability to flourish and navigate in a highly matrixed, multi-national business environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HR Business Partner experience in roles of progressively increasing scope in highly matrixed multi-national organizations
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships with local and geographically dispersed teams
• Capable and willing to act as an agent to make changes happen.
• Experience as a HR Business Partner with R&D teams strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Mandarin preferred but not required
